Our Mission

is to serve the people of California by reducing the emotional and financial burden of disability and death caused by genetic and congenital disorders. GDSP is able to accomplish this goal by providing timely screening and follow-up services to pregnant individuals and newborns throughout the state.

Services of the CalGenetic Portal:

• Apply for or renew a California genetic counselor license
• Create orders through the California Prenatal Screening (PNS) Program and view the current status of submitted electronic PNS orders
• View prenatal screening (PNS) results and messages from the Prenatal Screening Program
• Submit a PNS Confidential Report of an Outcome of Pregnancy - CDPH Form 4452
• Complete and submit an Out-of-Hospital Birth Report (NBS-OH) - CDPH Form 4460
