CalGenetic Portal will be undergoing scheduled maintenance starting from Friday, 1/16/2026 at 5:00 PM PST, until Sunday, 1/18/2026, at 8:00 PM PST.
1.Newborn Screening Results:
- We are excited to announce the launch of our Newborn Screening (NBS) Results Portal on 09/15/2025! Please refer to the user guide for comprehensive instructions. If you are a baby’s designated primary care provider (PCP) when newborn screening is performed, you can automatically view that patient’s results in the portal. You can also request results for new babies in your practice.
2.Prenatal Screening Results:
California Prenatal Screening (CA PNS) Mailers Resume January 23,2026
Beginning January 23, 2026, the Genetic Disease Screening Program (GDSP) will resume printing and mailing Prenatal Screening (PNS) results via USPS. All physical paper mailers will be sent to the address of the ordering provider using the address that is listed for the facility in their CalGenetic Portal user account. Please notify clinic staff, mailrooms, document scanning departments to expect results mailers from GDSP in the near future.
Please note:
- MSAFP and cfDNA results issued prior to January 23, 2026, will NOT be printed by the program and/or mailed to the ordering provider via USPS mail.
- CalGenetic Portal users can opt out of paper results through their user profile settings.
- PDF of CA PNS screening results remain available for download through the CalGenetic Portal.
- Coordinators will continue normal outreach to providers and clinics for high-risk and non-negative test results.
- Results sent via USPS and downloaded from the CalGenetic Portal will feature updated CDPH branding logos and design.
